September in the Rain

There are four hop plants growing in my back garden.

I love watching them as they grow. From the first shoots in February to the plump flowers in September, they’re a great companion to the passing of the year. 

Brewing with fresh hops means you need lots of hops — lots more than our four little plants can provide.

We gather the hops from local hedgerows and willing volunteers, and because they’re wild we never quite know how each brew will turn out.

This year’s brew is a celebration of the green, grassy, fresh flavours of wild grown hops in all their splendour.
